Topic: Looking into the Future of ColdFusion and Flex
Adobe is helping us throw a little party to welcome Terrence Ryan, their platform evangelist for higher education. Terry visited us in April to talk about the Flash Platform. Now he's coming back to talk about his real love, ColdFusion. Terry will be showing off some of the new features coming in ColdFusion 9. He'll also be showing off the new ColdFusion IDE code named: Bolt. Finally, he's going to give us a peak at the next generation of Flash Builder, formerly known as Flex Builder, focusing on what make creating Flex applications with ColdFusion backends even easier.

June has two meetings this year. Our last regular meeting was on a hot topic, Google Analytics (GA). We were joined by 39 Degree North co-founder Chris Walls for a great overivew of the how-tos and where-fors of GA. Following Chris's presentation Scott Wilson of the IU University Information Policy Office talked about the policy and privacy implications of using 3rd-party analtyical tools. I remembered to record it this time. Yay! Our first speaker had a few audio issues though so there may be a few times where it cuts out. Hang with it. We think you'll find it worth your time. More >>
